Fire up your kid’s passion for books this summer with these awesome summer reading programs! Also, continue to read to your kids no matter the age. They just want to spend time with you!

Peoria Public Library
- Read at least 3 hours per week. You may read anything you like. For help finding something to read ask your librarian.
- Participate at least 5 weeks to receive a ticket voucher to a Peoria Chiefs baseball game
- Participate at least 6 weeks to receive a pass to the final party and be eligible for the grand prize drawings.
- Sign in once per week either in person or online.
- You may sign up starting May 1 and until July.

On KidsBowlFree.com, registered kids receive 2 FREE games of bowling every day all summer long. Local participating centers are Mt. Hawley (Peoria), Plaza Lanes (Washington), and Chilli Bowl (Chillicothe). Shoe rental rates apply. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Pair Up for Health is a trail race challenge designed to bring families and friends together on the trail to a healthier lifestyle. Pair Up for Health combines the beauty of the trails at Wildlife Prairie State Park with the challenges of an obstacle course. Running, jogging and walking are all acceptable for Pair Up for Health. In fact, there might even be a little bit of crawling. Any way that you can make it to the finish line is fine. Just get out there and do it!
