From the Proctor Hospital Website. Register by Thursday, September 27. This is a career education program designed for young adults age 14 (and have completed eighth grade) to 20. Proctor Hospital is pleased to host a Health Careers Exploring Post. The post has been organized in partnership with the local Learning for Life office of the WD Boyce Council. Through Health Careers Exploring, students are provided the opportunity to explore different areas within the hospital that few people get to see. Participants meet some of the best and brightest professionals in their fields. Health Careers Exploring provides experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and organizations in their communities.
Proctor Hospital provides the funds for insurance. It is necessary to fill out an application to join the post and it must be signed by a parent or guardian if the participant is under the age of eighteen.
