On Saturday, December 1st from 2:00-5:00 PM at the United Presbyterian Church, you are invited to experience Bethlehem when Jesus was born. This is an event for all ages. You’ll see the church Fellowship Hall and adjoining rooms transformed into first-century Bethlehem. You can register for Caesar Augustus’s census and get a special “I Registered” sticker. You can step into the synagogue and learn the story of the dreidel, make your own, and play the dreidel game. You will be able to visit the marketplace and try samples of food, and enjoy crafts like jewelry making, pottery, and leather work. You can also visit the stable and talk to Mary and Joseph.
The admission price is 2 canned goods. Cans will be available for purchase if you forget yours. Refreshments like cookies, brownies, hot cocoa, and coffee will also be for sale. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend our first ever Bethlehem Experience!
